Trauma

Abuse, neglect, violence, natural disasters, are all examples of traumatic experiences that can happen at any moment in our lives. The current pandemic is an example of collective trauma that affects our lives in obvious but also subtle ways. Regardless of what trauma you may have faced, it can be helpful to share your experience with a trained professional in a safe space. I like to work slowly to make sure you feel safe and in control. Sometimes, when my clients find it difficult to express themselves or talking about their trauma is just too much, I suggest art making as a way to externalize their feelings so we can look at them together from a safe distance.
